Mission & Vision

History

Greenwood Christian School began over 40 years ago to provide a kindergarten program at a time when the public schools did not. As the need and opportunities for high-level Christian education have grown over the years, so have the GCS offerings.

Greenwood Christian School has expanded to include Pre-K and all Elementary grades. In the fall of 2003, GCS began offering Daycare, followed by the Summer Camp program the summer of 2004.

As we continue to challenge a generation to love, grow, and inspire, we look forward to what God has in store for our families, our community, and our world.

Education With Heart.

Philosophy

The purpose of Greenwood Christian School is to provide a nurturing environment in which students may develop to their fullest potential.

By maintaining a low pupil-to-teacher ratio, ensuring that each students is given individual attention, we seek to develop students academically, spiritually, emotionally, socially, and physically.

Mission Statement

We strive to provide a Christ-centered environment that glorifies God.

Using the Bible as a foundation, we encourage students to achieve:

  • Academic excellence that promotes life-long learning
  • Personal growth that fosters respect, responsibility, and integrity
  • Spiritual maturity that equips students for discipleship, evangelism, and Christian service
