Before I came to Greenwood Christian, I was working for a local school district and really sensed a need for a change in my life. I had asked my small group at the time to pray for the possibility of a new opportunity. My LifeGroup leader approached me and said there was an open position at the church and that I should apply. Miraculously. I married an Indianapolis girl who hated her only year in Florida. With parents starting to age in nearby Lebanon, moving "home" seemed a good choice. I felt from the moment I interviewed with a GCC search committee that God wanted me here.
What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
I enjoy reading classic novels and am just 10 away from completing a list of the top 100 of all time. I became a pretty good bass fisherman during my 13 years in the Florida panhandle, and though my skills are greatly diminished now, I still like to "wet a line." I also enjoy golf, but unfortunately never possessed any talent that could decline. I often golf and bowl on the same day so I can say, "I had scores of 75 and 200....you don't need to know which score went with which game."

After growing up in Anderson, Indiana, I moved out west for 10 years. I met my wife at a church in Las Vegas, and we moved to Arizona. After our time out west, the Lord was clearly leading us to minister at GCC, so we followed the call and have been ridiculously blessed along the way.
What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
When I'm not at work, I am typically playing with my kids at home or taking spontaneous road trips with family. I also enjoy exercising and spending time with friends.

Jason Wetherholt
Worship Minister, Creative Team Lead
Describe your role at Greenwood Christian.
I'm privileged to lead worship on the weekends and oversee our Creative Team during the week.
Tell us about your family.
My wife Elizabeth and I have been married since 2000, and we have 2 precious teenage daughters, Katie & Ali. Oh yeah, and Wrigley the Miniature Schnauzer likes to make his presence known from time to time as well.
What did you study and where?
I graduated from Lincoln Christian College with a Bachelor's in Christian Education and Hope International University with a Masters in Christian Leadership.
Tell us something fun about you.
I’m a ravenous fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. Did you see our dog is named “Wrigley”? Yeah, it’s probably not healthy. Also, on a family trip to Disney in 2013, I participated in the American Idol Experience at Hollywood Studios. I was fortunate to make it onto the show both times, but sadly never advanced to the finals. Still, it was a blast
How did you end up at Greenwood Christian?
Greenwood Christian was looking for a Worship Minister in 2016 and a friend connected me with Matt Giebler. Turns out Matt and I had actually met years earlier at a conference, but apparently, I’m not a very memorable person.
What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
Besides family time and spoiling the dog, I enjoy looking for creative outlets in addition to my job. So you might find me doing some freelance video work or photography, or maybe even playing out with a local band.
