Matt joined the GCC staff in 2014 and loves helping 6th-12th grade students know that God loves them and that they matter. He was selected to work with teens as a Student Minister based on maturity level and has a dad joke for every occasion. Matt & Leann have had 4 children with 2 still living. Aside from his world famous Indianapolis Colts touchdown dances, when Matt’s not at work, you might find him playing video games, board games, or sports.
Wanda Bowles
Office Manager
Wanda has worked at GCC for over 25 years in 2 different stints, and she currently serves as the Office Manager overseeing all the details like finance, office operations, generally keeping the staff in line. She and Kevin have been married since 1992 and love spending time with 2 married daughters, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild…in addition to a couple of sweet miniature dachshunds. One interesting thing about Wanda is that she absolutely loves all things rain-related: the sights, the sounds, and the smell. So if you ever drive on campus and see her sitting by herself outside in a rainstorm, there’s no need to call any special services; she’s enjoying it.

Music Director
Paul grew up at GCC and then after moving back to the area after college, he joined the staff part-time in 2012. Paul is a jack of all trades leading worship, helping with creative projects, and even fixing computers and mobile devices in his spare time. He married Ashley in 2009, and they have 2 wonderful daughters. And if you’re ever in the mood to give Paul a hard time, ask him to stick out his tongue, and be prepared to mock him for what happens next.
Carol Conwell
Assistant to the Senior Minister
Carol began attending GCC all the way back in 1980 and then came on staff in Student Ministry in 2002 to work with Matt Giebler when he was the Student Minister. As Matt transitioned into the role of Senior Minister, Carol came back to work with him again in 2011. She’s been married to Greg since 1996 and has 2 children and 4 grandchildren. Carol jokes that she makes Matt’s life easier by covering the organizational aspects of his job and everyone else’s life more difficult in the process.
Dave Daugherty
Facilities Director
Dave joined the GCC staff in 2016 as our Facilities Director and then married Amy in March 2020 just as the world began shutting down. He’s an accomplished photographer in his spare time as well as an aspiring fisherman. Dave & Amy enjoy spending time with their adult kids and traveling whenever they get the chance. And if you see Dave in the hallway at church, you’ll have to ask him how he earned the infamous nickname “Dirty Dave” on a mission trip.
Emily Ehret
Director of Communications
Emily joined the GCC staff in 2019 to help us improve just about everything we communicate, including the digital content you’re currently enjoying. In her role as Director of Communications, she serves as our chief storyteller. As a fiery redhead and a fierce competitor, Emily has quickly jumped in to make everything we do better. When Emily’s not at work, she’s probably hanging out with her dog Wrigley and watching the Cubs, Notre Dame football, or Duke basketball.

Emily has lived in Greenwood since 2012 and joined the GCC staff in 2017 to serve in GC Sports, later adding Outreach Ministry to her plate as well. She and Danny have been married since 2007 and spend their time watching over 1 son, 2 daughters, and 2 cats. In spite of being married to an outdoorsy hunter, Emily has been an ovo-lacto vegetarian since age 16. We don’t know what that means, but the staff feels safer knowing there’s someone with superpowers hanging around.
Bob Fish
Elementary Director
Bob and his family began attending GCC in 2000, volunteering in 2002, and then he joined the staff in 2008 to lead the programming for elementary students. Bob & Jen have been married since 1998 and have 3 kids: Lauren, Allie, & Nathan. If you see Bob in the halls, be sure to ask him about working at Hollywood Studios at Disney World while he was in college. Just remember that you might have to talk slower to him; he is a Purdue grad.

Senior Minister
Matt joined the GCC staff in 1999, and in his role as Senior Minister, he’s responsible for communicating the church’s vision, preaching and teaching, and leading the staff. Matt & Alison have 3 kids and a couple of gorgeous golden retrievers. When Matt’s not at work, you might find him reading, hiking, watching movies, or tackling wood-working projects in the garage. Functioning as our chief extrovert on staff, he’s probably sending you a friend request on Facebook while you read these words.

Rhonda Huberts
Director of World Harvest Cafe
Rhonda might be one of the first smiling faces you see when you arrive on campus on a Sunday morning. She oversees our World Harvest Café, proudly leading a team of volunteers and serving up delightful treats. Rhonda and Joe have been married since 1998 and began attending GCC after they enrolled their son at GCS. They loved it and have been around ever since. If you see Rhonda around, be sure to ask her about the favorite job she’s ever had and how many miles she’s traveled through the air.
Cindy Huffman
Adult Discipleship Assistant
After getting married in 1979, Cindy joined GCC upon finding out that one of her college professors attended here. She serves as the Assistant to Adult Discipleship, and it’s a fair assumption that there isn’t an event you’ve attended here that hasn’t benefited from her skilled organization and promotion. Cindy taught PE in the public schools for 37 years, retired to teach PE at GCS for 6 years, and retired from that probably to teach PE to the staff. She is widowed and has an adult son who lives in Greenwood and keeps her busy with his new house and dog.

Director of Operation Care
Ann joined the GCC staff in 2016 to oversee our “Operation Care” ministry. This crucial ministry reviews benevolence applications and looks for ways to help folks who are in a challenging financial season. Ann has a wide range of hobbies from making stained glass creations to bike riding to grooming her dogs. But most of all, she loves spending all the time she can with her 4 children and 8 grandchildren.

Director of Operations
Adrienne has been attending GCC pretty much since the Sunday after she was born as her dad has served on staff longer than she’s been alive. She joined the staff in 2020 to serve in GC Kids and then transitioned into the Director of Operations in 2021. She and her husband Matthew love hanging out with their cool kids Landin & Lauren and their fun dog, Bosco. Adrienne takes pride in her new role of holding the staff accountable for all the details and policies they’d just love to forget.

Scott joined the GCC staff in 1998, and as our Children’s Minister, he oversees the teams that lead GC Kids, GC Students, and Greenwood Christian School. Scott & Charlotte have 3 spoiled dogs and love to serve in various volunteer roles both inside the church and out in the community. When Scott’s not at work, you might find him reading a classic novel while he continues to check off the list of the 100 best of all time, and he is probably best known for having a goofy tie to match every possible color of short sleeve dress shirt.

Steve joined the staff in 2021 as the Executive Minister of Programming. He leads and coaches staff to help ensure ministries are in alignment with the vision of the church as a whole. Steve married Jill in 1991, and they love traveling together and spending time with their adult kids. He’s never met a beverage with the term “macchiato” in it that he didn’t enjoy, so send him an email if you’d like to head to a coffeeshop to hang out…just book the rest of your afternoon in case he starts telling stories.

After 25 years in Children’s Ministry, Ellen joined the GCS in 2004 as the Administrator of the school. Overseeing more than 80 adults and over 450 children each school year has enabled her to touch countless lives over her time serving in this role. Ellen & Steve have 2 sons and 2 pups and travel to the mountains any chance they get. When Ellen is not leading Greenwood Christian School, she can be found reading and watching IU basketball, which is impressive, as not everyone who enjoys the latter can do the former.

If you’ve ever called us on the phone or stopped by the office, then you probably already know Roxanne. A consummate extrovert, Roxanne exudes joy to all of our guests throughout the week. She and her husband Steve have been married since 1994 and are loving life as empty-nesters while still trying to spend as much time as they can with their 2 adult kids. When she’s not in the office, you’re likely to find Roxanne hiking in a state park or dominating in a high-stakes game of Euchre.

Kathy joined the GCC staff in 2005. Even though her title is Director of Adult Discipleship, it’s hard to find a ministry or environment at church that isn’t directly impacted by her amazing leadership. Kathy loves her life as a “boy mom,” having raised 3 of them and now her husband Tom as well. When she’s not at work, Kathy loves to travel, host, dabble in interior design, and connect with people.
Coty Stiltner
Student Minister
Coty joined the GCC staff in 2016, first as a resident during his Master’s Degree program at Johnson University and then as a Student Minister after he refused to leave when the program was over. Scorned by his co-workers over his love of UK basketball, Coty remains undaunted in his fandom. He married Hope in 2020, which we can all agree has made him a far more tolerable person to be around. Coty is passionate about seeing students grow in their faith and make a difference in their world. When he’s not at work, Coty & Hope love to play sports, check out new restaurants, and play with their cat Friday.

Katheryne began attending GCC in 2005 and joined the staff to serve with GC Students in 2015. She and Pat have been married since 1995 and have 3 wonderful daughters and a rescue dog who serves as the emotional support for the whole family. Katheryne loves to travel and reads voraciously, so if you enjoy a healthy and well-rounded discussion, stop by to say hey.

John joined the GCC staff in 2012 as a Student Minister and later transitioned into his current role as Outreach Minister. John is passionate about helping to push the church outside the doors and into our world. He & Candice have 2 young boys and are never more that 30 seconds away from a trip to the emergency room. When John is not at work, he loves exercising and spending time with friends and family. An avid coffee drinker, the amount of caffeine John consumes on a daily basis would likely be the death of any normal man.
